A patch of bad weather continues in Dubai

Today should be sunny to partly cloudy, with the possibility of fog and mist forming in certain places.

On Tuesday, the United Arab Emirates saw extraordinary levels of rainfall, which caused serious damage throughout the nation. Another round of showers is predicted to return precisely one week from now, while efforts to recover from the aftermath are under way.

A weather forecast for April 23 from the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in the United Arab Emirates indicates partly cloudy conditions with sporadic cloud cover. According to NCM, there’s a chance of light to moderate rainfall, which could get heavier in some places. It is also possible for temperatures to drop in coastal areas.

NCM has also expected light to moderate northeasterly to southeasterly winds for Tuesday in its five-day forecast bulletin. These winds will later shift to northwesterly and may reach speeds of 15 to 25 km/h, with gusts as high as 40 km/h.

According to NCM, there is a chance of fog or mist formation today due to the high humidity, particularly in coastal and interior areas. But as the day wears on, the sky will clear up to partly cloudy, especially in the east.

Light to moderate winds, originating from the northeasterly to the southeasterly direction, will blow between 10 and 20 km/h, with occasional gusts up to 30 km/h.

Expect humidity in the morning on Saturday, particularly in interior and coastal areas, with a potential of mist or fog, according to NCM. The sky will be fair to partly overcast by tomorrow afternoon, with a slight possibility of clouds building over mountains and perhaps bringing showers.
